Goutam Mylavarapu, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Oklahoma. He earned a Ph.D. in computer science at Oklahoma State University in 2020.
He conducted multi-disciplinary research in multiple roles at Oklahoma State University and Murray State University. He also served as a community development educator at Oklahoma State University. In 2018, he worked as a data scientist intern for a real estate development company in north Texas. He is an active author and peer-reviewer for international journals and multiple IEEE and ACM conferences in computing sciences.
His research interests primarily lie in the area of data science with an emphasis on data preprocessing, mining and analysis using applied machine learning. He also works in health informatics, artificial intelligence and data privacy and security.
