About

Dr. Cari M. Deen is currently a full time lecturer here at UCO. She teaches primarily online for UCO, and she has been teaching at UCO for 17 of the 24 years in which she has been teaching at the university level. In addition to teaching online, Dr. Deen designs and revamps online courses for UCO. Dr. Deen was born in Tulsa and raised in Norman, but she spent time in California, Missouri, and Australia after high school. She attended Scripps College in Claremont, California where she earned a B.A. in biology. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in zoology at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma where she studied physiological ecology with an emphasis in herpetology. Dr. Deen has two sons, Trey and Sam; and one daughter, Sara, who seems to be following her footsteps into herpetology.
