Campus buildings reopened to the public effective July 1. Services are available virtually or by appointment only. Visitors should reach out to individual departments regarding appointments. Manager Biology Laboratories
William H. Unsell was born in Ada, Oklahoma. He grew up outside of Ada with an older brother surrounded by domesticated and wild animals that could be seen from the back porch at varying times of the day. He graduated from Ada High in 1989 and entered East Central University in Ada that fall. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in spring 1993. He enrolled at the University of Oklahoma in the Department of Environmental, Civil Engineering and Environmental Science as a Master’s student. He completed his Master’s degree in 1996.
After graduating from school, Unsell found that he enjoyed teaching. He has taught most of his courses in biology which started out at Rose State College. Here at UCO, he has taught courses in general biology for the majors and non-majors. He has enjoyed the opportunity to work with technology to deliver the online biology course to students.
