Kris Pittman

About
Kris joined TPS in February 2016 as the lead enforcement officer and was later promoted to field supervisor. In November 2018, he transitioned into the role of manager of operations, where he oversees and manages enforcement and maintenance personnel, new technology, special event parking, visitor parking and minor parking lot maintenance. In 2022, he was promoted to the role of assistant director. Kris is a member of the National Parking Association, the International Parking Institute, and the Campus Parking and Transportation Association.
Education and Certifications
Kris has an Associate of Arts in liberal arts from Oklahoma City Community College and a Bachelor of Science in industrial safety from UCO. Because of his passion for student development, he graduated in 2019 with his master's degree in adult education: student personnel with an emphasis on program management.
He completed UCO's Manager Development Program in 2016/2017, Educator's Leadership Academy in 2018/2019, Disney's Approach to Employee Engagement in 2019, Leadership UCO in 2020/2021, Dare to Lead in 2022 and has been Campus Enterprises' Employee of the Month.
Interests
In his spare time, Kris enjoys reading, writing, bowling, strength training, and music. His favorite book series is "The Dark Tower" by Stephen King, and his favorite bands are Third Eye Blind, Manchester Orchestra, and Five Iron Frenzy. He is an avid believer in the concept of universal connectedness and the power of positive framing. Corresponding to those are two of his favorite quotes, "Allow yourself to be an anchor and anchored by others" and "Life just isn’t as sweet without the bitter."
