Marketing Assistant II
Alexandria Carmon is the marketing assistant for the School of Music. Alexandria graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Central Oklahoma. Her passion for sharing the performing arts with the Oklahoma City community through her involvement with Painted Sky Opera as marketing coordinator and educational outreach coordinator, and her position as co-manager for Opera On Tap-OKC. Alexandria is excited about the opportunity to share the talent and hard work of the UCO School of Music with the community and prospective students!
Professional and Community Involvement
Alexandria Carmon is an active opera performer based out of Oklahoma City. She studied Vocal Performance under Lawana Newell for four years at Northwestern Oklahoma State University where she received her bachelors and under Dr. Barbara DeMaio for three years in her time at UCO. She made her Oklahoma debut as Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen with the Enid Symphony Orchestra. Recent credits include Elisetta with Red River Lyric Opera, numerous roles with UCO opera including Starbird, Lady Harriet, and Fiordiligi. She has also performed as a chorus member in La Traviata and Tosca with Painted Sky Opera and the role of Micaela in Peter Brook’s Tragedy of Carmen. Alexandria performs monthly with the Oklahoma City chapter of Opera On Tap.
