Teaching Philosophy
My teaching philosophy has been developed based on my academic and professional experiences. I share a philosophy developed at my alma mater: “To educate individuals to think and act as ethical leaders and responsible citizens in the global community."
I feel a professor can have a tremendous impact on students’ academic careers and my goal is to create a positive experience for students. As professors we strive to stress lifelong learning and foster an intellectual curiosity by helping our students understand how to perform in a global business world, while mentoring them to become leaders and share a respect for diversity and responsibility. I believe it is my responsibility to assist students to not just reach, but to exceed their potential, both inside and outside, the classroom. I want to instill strong ethics in students, as well as help them become future leaders by acting as a role model and mentor, which would enable me, to give back to the community of academia, who mentored me.
Simply, I believe in providing my students “academics” for the rest of their life. As a university professor, it is my responsibility to assist my students to reach and exceed their potential, retain their ethics and lead others by my example.
