Gary Jones was raised on a farm in northwest Oklahoma. He is married, has four children, and five grandchildren. He and his wife love to travel when they get the chance. They also spend a lot of time supporting the grandkids at stock shows and ball games.
Jones retired from the U.S. Army in 2005, after over 24 years of service, the last six years in operations and intelligence. He spent the next 10 years working for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, two years as a Special Investigator and eight years as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst. He began teaching as an adjunct for UCO in 2013, and is currently the coordinator for the Center for Innovative Solutions, part of UCO’s School of Criminal Justice.
Education and Certifications
Jones earned his B.S. in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University in 2007, his M.S. in Business Management from Southern Nazarene University in 2008, and is currently working on his Doctorate in Education (Aviation and Space Education) at Oklahoma State University.
