Jakey Dobbs is the Learning Innovation Architect for the Institute for Learning Environment Design at the University of Central Oklahoma with a focus primarily on training and consulting of ILED clients.

Jakey has a passion for helping others reach their goals which can be seen throughout her professional career. She worked for Alpha Sigma Alpha Sorority Headquarters based out of Indianapolis, Indiana as the volunteer coordinator where she oversaw the general volunteer recruitment, training, retention, evaluation, and recognition in the volunteer structure.

Jakey joined UCO in September 2015 as the Coordinator of Student Leadership Training where she advised the President’s Leadership Council and Leaders of Tomorrow, as well as managed the UCO Leadership Academy and OKC Leaders in Training program serving the Oklahoma and metropolitan communities.

Jakey then served the UCO community as the Professional Development Specialist with her primary role as managing the Leadership UCO and Leadership UCO Alumni programs. Her other responsibilities included facilitating New Employee Orientations, creating and managing the UCO Young Professionals Faculty and Staff Association, online content designer and curriculum writer.

Jakey holds a master’s degree in education with an emphasis in adult education and training from UCO as well as a bachelor’s degree in communication from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.
