The University of Central Oklahoma physical campus will be closed to all but essential employees beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 26, through at least April 15. Tiara Brown arrived at UCO in 2016 when she was hired as the marketing specialist for the Office of Global Affairs. A year later, she was hired by the Division of Student Affairs to serve in her current position as the CRM administrator.

CRM Recruit allows Tiara to work with various departments across campus as the university continues toward its goal of making it a campus-wide marketing, application and data storage system. In her three years at UCO, Tiara has been a key figure in the development, functionality and maintenance of CRM Recruit. Her daily tasks consist of overseeing the success of both the software and its users as well as prospective students.

Research, Published Work, and Scholarly Activities

  • Tiara graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with Bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Intercultural Communication Studies.
  • Before moving to Oklahoma, Tiara worked as a reporter at the Naples Herald and an admissions representative at her alma mater in Fort Myers, Florida.
  • As a freelance writer and photographer, Tiara’s work ranges from appearances at multimedia outlets including National Public Radio, ABC 7 in Sarasota, and NBC 2 in Fort Myers. Her byline can also be found in various newspapers and magazines across Southwest Florida and the Tampa Bay Area.
