Mehmet Aktas, Ph.D.
Mehmet Aktas is an assistant professor and John T. Beresford Endowed Chair in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Central Oklahoma. His research is on the applications of topological data analysis (TDA) in network science. Particularly, he is interested in using TDA in network matching and embedding problems and their applications in social, biological, chemical networks. He received my Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics at the Florida State University, under the supervision of Eriko Hironaka. He received my MS in 2011 from the Department of Mathematics at the Bilkent University working with Alex Degtyarev.
