Offering light refreshments and live music by Central students, the opening is free and open to the public.

The exhibit will feature a variety of artwork including paintings, mixed media works and photography by Central art students and alumni. Featured artists include Belinda Briscoe and Celeste Davis, both Central alumni, and Josh Heilaman, Central student.

“Every piece of art tells a story to those experiencing the artwork. I chose to title the exhibit ‘Storytellers’ to encourage viewers to think about the stories behind each of the works,” said Shiraiwa.

“It was up to each of the artists to interpret the theme of the exhibit and determine what stories they would like to tell through their artwork,” he continued.

The exhibit will be on display in the Donna Nigh Gallery through May 5 and many of the exhibited works will be for sale.
