UCO Students Recognized for Top Academic Achievement

University of Central Oklahoma students Grant Waldvogel, Jaid Owens and Calli Finley recently received University Scholastic Awards in recognition of their exceptional academic work during the 2015-16 academic year.

Central’s Scholastic Awards are given annually to three students who earn the highest GPA with the most credit hours during their combined fall and spring semesters. The University Scholastic Award is given to the top junior or senior student while two Freshman Scholastic Awards are awarded the top freshman female and male students.

The awarded students received a commemorative plaque.

Waldvogel, a mass communications major from Tulsa, received a Freshman Scholastic Award. The Mannford High School graduate completed 30 credit hours and earned a 3.8 GPA.

Owens, an English education major from Enid, received a Freshman Scholastic Award. A graduate of Oklahoma Bible Academy, she completed 33 credit hours and earned a 4.0 GPA.

Finley, a psychology major from Arnett, Oklahoma, received her second University Scholastic Award. The Arnett High School graduate completed 37 credit hours and earned a 3.9 GPA.
