UCO Ranked Among Top Universities for Federal Work-Study Financial Aid by LendEDU

The University of Central Oklahoma is a top institution for Federal Work-Study Financial Aid according to a recent national ranking by LendEDU. Central ranked second out of 409 schools that were analyzed for the report.

On average, Central provides about $4,739 to each work-study participant. Additionally, Central provided 3,125 jobs through the work-study program for the most recent academic year. Through programs like these, Central students can graduate with minimal student debt. During the 2017-18 academic year, of the nearly 3,000 graduates over 43 percent of them graduated without any federal loans.

The Federal Work-Study Program is government funded and compensates students for part-time employment for both undergraduate and graduate students at approved on-or off-campus position. Work-study programs help students pay for college, while also offering opportunities to gain valuable experience in fields that they may like to pursue post-graduation.

The data within the list was licensed by LendEDU from Peterson's Financial Aid dataset. Data from Peterson's is voluntarily submitted by U.S. colleges and universities that choose to submit their financial aid information. This dataset reflects financial aid statistics from the 2016-17 academic year, which is the most current dataset available to the public and only includes four-year not-for-profit private and public undergraduate colleges and universities.
